Our Story

Escape Chapters Co. actually started in a pretty unexpected way.

I was looking for ways my kids could start earning a little money of their own, something like a paper route. Around the same time, I had become completely hooked on mystery scoop shops and surprise packages. It got me thinking... why wasn't anyone creating something like this for kids who love to read?

My boys have always loved books, so the idea was simple: combine the excitement of opening a thoughtfully curated surprise with the magic of a great story.

From the beginning, I wanted Escape Chapters Co. to feel different. I wasn't interested in filling boxes with random items. I wanted every Reading Adventure to feel thoughtfully put together, with quality pieces, a vintage-inspired style, and little details that make opening the box almost as exciting as reading the book inside.

Today, Escape Chapters Co. is still a family business. My boys help test ideas, share recommendations and give honest feedback, and together we're creating Reading Adventures we hope other families will love as much as we do.

Escape Treasure Capsules are available on their own or as an upgrade to any Discovery Reading Adventure.

Every capsule is a surprise, filled with fun discoveries, collectibles and adventure-themed treasures. No two Treasure Reveals are ever the same.

Families Are Loving the Adventure

I ordered the mystery box for my 10 year old and the adventure box for my 8 year old, and both boxes were amazing! Every time they took something out of the box it was with an ‘Oh! This is so cool!’.

The care and attention to detail taken to the wrapping and packaging make the experience even more special. They were beautifully wrapped and had all sorts of hand made additions that we loved. And all the little extras are perfect!

For the books, once you order you receive an email to answer a few questions about the books your child likes to read and their reading level. Then they pick a book based on your theme and answers. They do a great job of picking! I’m so happy with the books that were chosen for my boys!

I will definitely be doing this for gifts in the future.
